LAKE WINNEBAGO, WI (WTAQ) – It was a successful weekend of sturgeon spearing.
The DNR reported that the two-day harvest total from the Upriver Lakes was 182 fish and Lake Winnebago was 153 fish.
On Sunday alone, 108 fish were harvested with 56 of them coming from Lake Winnebago.
The largest fish harvested Sunday was 148.3 pounds and 77.1 inches. The fish was registered at Critters by Michael Bohow.
Opening day harvest numbers were similar to last year.
97 fish were registered from Lake Winnebago Saturday.
The Upriver Lakes were a bit busier with 130 fish registered.
