OCONTO, WI (WTAQ) – 24-year-old Timothy Grimes, a former Suring teacher, was convicted on Tuesday of sexual assault of a student by a school staff member.
Grimes had four counts dismissed, while pleading guilty to two of the counts.
He’s scheduled to be sentenced on March 22, according to the clerk of courts.
Grimes was a friend of the victim’s family and would spend time at the 15-year-old girl’s house, according to prosecutors.
According to the complaint, he had sexual contact with her on multiple occasions.
According to the school district, he resigned from his position as a history teacher.
