GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – It’s the fluffy snow before the cold.
Love it or Hate It, Northeast Wisconsin Residents were forced to work in or play in the snow Monday.
Snowblowers and shovels were out all over Northeast Wisconsin. In Two Rivers, the area received nearly a foot of snow.
“It was blowing almost horizontal but it has lightened up a little bit,” one resident said.
Glenn Bodwin, Co-Owner of Crafty Cravings Cafe in Two Rivers said he is worried that his business is not out of the clear just yet.
“We are going to have to deal with the frigid cold that is coming.”
Green Bay resident Reggie Thompson compared this snow storm to last week’s.
“It is really light. It is actually really easy to push around and it’s a lot easier than last week.”
James Basina of Oshkosh was out clearing the snow away a little at a time.
“Just trying to keep at it and trying to make sure that it does not get too overfilled and that way we don’t have to deal with anything that is just too crazy.”
For most shoveling was the biggest inconvenience the snow caused, but for Matt Schrumm of Two Rivers, a two-piece sectional that he placed curbside to sell became a front row seat to the storm.
“I was actually hoping someone would just come and take it before the snow hit. If they want to take it off my curb, I will help them take it.”
With kids in the area having the day off of school, many used the day to make the most of the snow.
Ralph Polasky of Ripon spent the day in the snow with his family.
“We got the kids out jumping in snowbanks and we got the dog out chasing balls and trying to find them.”
Monica Vitenbroek was out sledding her family in Appleton.
“We played inside for a little bit and then we decided to come out to see if we can be the first people at the hill here.”
Frigid temperatures and wind chills are expected to follow this batch of snow.
