ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – During yesterday’s snowstorm first responders had to deal with more than the usual fender benders and cars in the ditch.
At approximately 3:20 pm Monday afternoon Ashwaubenon Public Safety Officers responded to a pickup truck in the ditch on Ashland Ave near Baeten Rd.
When officers arrived they found a 27-year-old male pulseless and not breathing and a bystander was doing CPR on him in deep snow.
A Public Safety Officer took over CPR until EMS arrived. A 29-year-old female was also in the vehicle and was not responsive.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety Fire/EMS attended to the victims and police quickly learned that the duo had been consuming heroin while on the roadway.
The investigation continued and the 27-year-old male, identified as Jesse James House, was arrested for OWI, 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, possession of Heroin and a Probation/ Parole Warrant.
The 29-year-old female, identified as Molly Schlichting was subsequently arrested for Possession of Heroin and 1st Degree Reckless Injury.
Both parties are in the Brown County Jail awaiting their initial appearance on these felony charges.
