APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – No injuries are being reported following a house fire in Appleton late Tuesday night.
Crews arrived at the residence on the 200 block of North Locust Street around 10 p.m. to find smoke and flames coming out of the front of the two-story house.
Firefighters discovered a dog and a cat inside.
The cat was breathing on its own, while the dog was treated with a pet oxygen mask.
The frame of the house allowed the fire to be spread to multiple floors.
Three adults were displaced from the home.
There were no working smoke detectors in the house and fire’s cause is still under investigation, according to firefighters.
