GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – On Tuesday Night, December 11th, two armed robberies were reported in the city of Green Bay.
The first occurred at the Dairy Queen on Main Street at approximately 7:20pm. The second robbery occurred several hours later at approximately 10:48pm at the Speedway gas station on E. Mason Street.
In both cases, a black male entered the stores with a handgun. He was wearing a blue puffy looking winter jacket and a gray over black Milwaukee Bucks stocking cap with a black ball or pom-pom on the top.
The male demanded money from the stores but appeared to be apologetic and told clerks that he was sorry.
Based on comments he made at the scene he appears to be going through an emotionally challenging time in his life.
In the first robbery, he identified himself to the clerk as “Shawn”. In the second robbery incident, he was seen getting into a white or very light colored 4 door car that was described as “boxy-looking”.
