DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Even though De Pere firefighters were able to put out a house fire in less than ten minutes, it didn’t stop 2 family members from being sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
The fire also caused an estimated $33,000 in damage.
At 6:23 p.m. on Friday night, the De Pere Fire Rescue Department was called to 819 Sunrise Court, where firefighters saw fire coming out of a window of the home, and a family that was able to escape.
The fire began in a bedroom, which then extended into a hallway, and a second bedroom.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
