GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Wisconsin 8th District Congressman Mike Gallagher easily wins re-election to another term in D-C, beating back a challenge by Democrat Beau Liegeois.
Gallagher is now in the minority as the D’s took control of the House.
But he doesn’t think that will hurt his effectiveness.
“it’s important we think about the ways Congress is broken and how we restore order.”
There wasn’t a lot of dirt-slinging in his campaign against Liegeois. Gallagher says that was not an accident.
“Seems like every year it gets more negative and more money floods into all these races and at the end of the day as voters, I don’t think we’re getting a better choice.”
Gallagher says his style was one of hard work and speaking out against anyone, regardless of party, if their message was one of division.
