The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton says they’ve been alerted about a number of tickets purchased for Disney’s Lion King that aren’t the real thing.
“When there’s a high-demand show, such as the Lion King, it’s also high-demand for those third-party brokers,” says Trisha Witt, with the Performing Arts Center. “Who could have fraudulent tickets out in the market.”
If you already purchased a ticket from somewhere other than the Fox Cities P.A.C. ticket office or Ticketmaster, then it’s a good idea to give them a call.
“If you have any question about it, please call us, call our ticket office,” says Witt. “They will be able to answer any questions and help you verify that you indeed do have a legitimate ticket.”
The Fox Cities P.A.C. ticket office number is (920) 730-3760.
If it turns out that your tickets aren’t the real thing, then you should start the process of trying to get a refund.

Authorized tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Fox Cities P.A.C. ticket office, but sometimes scammers can make it difficult to determine if you’re on the correct site or not.
“If you even Google performing arts center in Appleton, for example, we don’t always show up first,” explains Witt. “Sometimes these folks get really smart, the technology gets really smart.”
To make sure that you get a legitimate ticket, it’s a good idea to just wait a little longer.
“The good news that we have here is that tickets go on sale to the general public next week Friday, November 16,” says Witt. “So you can come in person at 8 AM or you can go on Ticketmaster.com at 10 AM and then you know that you’re buying complete legit tickets.”
