BEAVER DAM, WI (WTAQ) – The identity of a man shot by a Beaver Dam police officer last week has been released by officials.
35-year-old Richard Henke II of Beaver Dam was shot in one of his legs during the October 26 incident, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers were called to a home in the 500 block of Walnut Street regarding a domestic incident involving a weapon and the officer that shot Henke has been placed on administrative leave. Their name has not yet been released.
One officer sustained minor injuries in the incident, but no officers were shot in the altercation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
