GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police are investigating the theft of two parking meters and a pole from the 200 block of South Washington St.
“That property is owned by the city of Green Bay, and obviously there is money in those parking meters,” Police Captain Kevin Warych said.
Officials say the theft occurred sometime between Friday, September 21st in the late afternoon and Monday, September 24 in the early afternoon.
“When you look at how secure the meters were to the pole and the pole to the ground, It was definitely premeditated,” Warych commented. “
Warych says someone knows something.
“Someone had to really think about this and try to come up with a plan to not be seen while removing the meters, concealing them and fleeing the area.”
Officers say the meters were numbered 1602 and 1603.
