APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce announced a new president and CEO on Tuesday.
Becky Bartoszek, a resident of the Freedom area, will assume the position starting in October.
In the past, she has held leadership positions with AIA Corporation, The QTI Group, and Alltel.
Bartoszek hopes to help local operations since she was once a local business owner herself.
“In 2007, I actually opened my own State Farm Insurance agency in Little Chute and I was there for about six and a half years,” she explains.
Over time she’s been impressed with the economic progress the area has made.
“Everybody struggled in 2008, but if you look at where we are today we clearly are headed in the right direction,” says Bartoszek.
She replaces Bob Mundt who left for a position in his hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and will take over on October 15th.
An immediate goal will be keeping economic progress moving forward.
“If you look around the Fox Cities you can see the growth and expansion on basically every corner,” she says.
She’ll take over and assume her new role on October 15th.
