OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – The suspect from a Neenah standoff on September 10 was ordered to stand trial on Monday.
Eric Vandenboogard has been charged with recklessly endangering safety and court records show that he has waived a preliminary hearing.
An arraignment has been scheduled for September 20.
The criminal complaint states that Vandenboogard got into an argument with another man and fired a gun, which he claims was unintentional.
The bullet struck a mattress and a neighbor was able to get the gun and lock it in his safe.
The complaint also states that he claims he didn’t point the gun at the man and told authorities that he had perhaps 10 beers that day.
