MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) – A suspect in a Romanian credit card skimming ring that involved Oshkosh ATMs was convicted of identity theft in federal court.
18-year-old Ionel Moresanu was found guilty Tuesday.
According to the indictment, he was one of several who made unauthorized withdrawals in several states.
Oshkosh police say they observed several men repeatedly using an ATM at a convenience store.
Officers found 80 counterfeit access devices on Moresanu when they took him into custody.
He admitted to stealing card information and making withdrawals.
