JUNEAU, WI (WTAQ) – A former corrections officer at the Fox Lake Correctional Institution has been sentenced for sexually assaulting inmates.
Prosecutors allege that 34-year-old Alex Wouts coerced various victims into sexual acts over the course of several years.
Prosecutors believe there are more victims than the three victims that testified against him.
Wouts was able to get inmates to participate in the acts by threatening discipline or offering privileges. Wouts was sentenced to 35 years in prison and another 25 years extended supervision.
