GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Packaging is continuing the $500 million process of replacing their 71-year-old mill as they have chosen Voith Paper in Appleton to construct and install its new modernized paper machine.
Once the updated machine is complete, Green Bay’s paper production will increase to more than 700 companies Green Bay Packaging works with.
The new mill is going to be the largest economic development project in Brown County’s history.
The construction of the new mill will keep more than 1,100 jobs in the area.
Construction is ready to begin in September, with the opening set for 2021.
