GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is warning everyone going boating this summer to make they’re wearing a personal flotation device.
This after an incident on the CityDeck landing.
Just before 3, Thursday afternoon fire officials were dispatched to the landing for a person in the river that needed rescue.
The department arrived within 3 minutes.
A nearby boater was able to throw a flotation device to keep the person afloat while they waited for rescue.
The person was quickly pulled from the water and no one was injured.
