OCONTO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ)- A criminal interdiction in Oconto County resulted in citations, drug seizures, and an arrest.
The efforts on May 25 were focused in the Spruce, Oconto Falls, Suring, Maple Valley, Gillett, How and Underhill areas.
Five people were arrested in total.
According to Sheriff officials, one was a person with a Federal US Marshal’s arrest warrant in Texas who was wanted for human smuggling.
26 citations were issued and K9’s were deployed 20 times.
Deputies also reported the following May 25 interdiction statistics:
- Traffic stops: 63
- Warnings issued: 64
- Arrests: 5
- Positive K9 Drug Detections: 13
- Negative K9 Drug Detections: 7
