ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ)- A third-grade student at Valley View Elementary School in Ashwaubenon ended the school year in a big way.
Evelyn Nesvacil was named a semifinalist in the National Handwriting Contest.
The school recognized her efforts on Friday.
She says good handwriting runs in her family as her older sister Grace won the competition in 2016.
“My mom and big sister, they’re both really good at handwriting, so I don’t know, maybe I just have it in my blood or something,” Nesvacil told Fox 11. “She would take a look at my handwriting and make sure it looked good and stuff.”
A total of ten students were chosen as semifinalists.
