MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ)- A Little Chute business education teacher has been charged with third degree sexual assault for allegedly giving alcohol to a 16-year-old girl and sexually assaulting her.
45-year-old Jason LaVigne was in Marinette County Court Thursday, representing himself.
According to the complaint, LaVigne went to a cabin in Stephenson with his daughter and her friend last Saturday.
The group decided to take a pontoon ride, where he allegedly gave the two girls some drinks.
According to the complain, Lavigne’s daughter was sleeping. He allegedly docked the pontoon and sexually assaulted the 16-year-old friend.
LaVigne is scheduled to be back in court June 25.
LaVigne has been a teacher at Little Chute High School since 1997.
He was placed on administrative leave Wednesday.
A judge set bail at $25,000.
