APPLETON, WI (WTAQ)- Green Bay Packers Clay Matthews had to leave the Green and Gold Charity Softball game early Saturday after being hit in the face with a line drive.
Matthews sufferd a broken nose, and was taken to the hospital.
The linebacker was pitching to offensive lineman Lucas Patrick at the time.
The game was halted for about 15 minutes as Matthews walked off the field, covering his face with his glove.
He tweeted later that he will have surgery, but the swelling needs to go away first.
