DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – Thanks to a couple of good Samaritans Sunday, eight people are home safe today.
The De Pere Fire Department reports a boat lost power while on the Fox River and those on board needed help just before 5 Sunday afternoon.
When officials spotted the boat, it was underneath the Claude Allouez Bridge being pulled toward the dam.
Eight people, which included five children and three adults, were on the boat.
But firefighters were able to flag down a jet skier to help.
The man on the jet ski hooked onto an inflatable and pulled seven people to the boat launch.
Officials flagged down another boater who was able to hook onto the boat that lost power and pulled it to safety.
