DARBOY, WI (WTAQ)- For the first time, a Royal Wedding will be shown on the big screen.
The Valley Grand Cinema in Darboy is one of five Wisconsin theaters that will present a showing of the Royal Wedding Saturday.
Julie Caan, Communication Specialist for Marcus Theaters says the idea was presented as a unique way to watch a historical event.
“For those folks that don’t want to get up at an early time in the morning, they can come to the theater at 10:00 a.m and see the encore.”
Marcus Theaters says the encore is commercial free.
While watching at home early in the morning is an option, Caan says watching it at the theater with others adds a special social element.
“You can be around others who are Royal Wedding fans.”
The atmosphere is just one bonus. Caan says seeing the wedding on a big screen will allow you to see things better than on a TV, and comfort is at a premium with reclining seats.
“It is all about the social experience.”
The cost of the ticket is just $10 dollars.
