ALLOUEZ (WTAQ-WLUK) – Area fourth graders got a chance to learn about different writing styles.
A writing conference took place Thursday morning at Heritage Hill in Allouez.
The boys and girls were chosen by their instructors to take part.
They come from several area school districts, including Plymouth, De Pere, and Green Bay.
“I love writing because I can always express my imagination and make stories by myself,” said Sidney Schaub of De Pere.
Donell Bonetti of the elementary writing conference, said, “The students are fired up when they hear about how to do different types of writing from people who are actually working on it and using it in the field.”
The kids attended four sessions, led by local writers.
