OSHKOSH, WI (Wisconsin Radio Network)- Two former officials at UW-Oshkosh are charged with illegally shifting money to the UW-Oshkosh Foundation.
The state justice department has charged retired Chancellor Richard Wells and vice chancellor Thomas Sonnleitner with felony misconduct in office.
They’re accused of putting millions of dollars of university money toward projects through the Foundation.
The state started the criminal investigation in August of 2016.
Wells retired in the fall of 2014.
