GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – As people prepare to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday, law enforcement is urging that it be done responsibly.
Green Bay Police Captain Kevin Warych has advice for those who plan on drinking.
“We want people to have a plan. We encourage people to have a designated driver, to use Uber, Lyft, or a city cab.”
Warych notes “the police department will be deploying the OWI Task Force and the saturation patrol, so we’re going to have several additional officers on the roads who are looking for drunk drivers.”
Many area law enforcement agencies report seeing an increased amount of OWI arrests on St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
