APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Two people have been arrested following a Thursday afternoon disturbance at an Appleton apartment complex.
Police responded to a shots fired call in the 500 block of West Schindler Place at 2:12 pm. Multiple callers say a disturbance outside the building escalated into gunshots.
Witnesses say several vehicles fled the scene at high rates of speed, with the occupants of one throwing an item into the Fox River. At last word, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Dive Team was working to recover that item.
That vehicle was located in the city’s downtown, with the two occupants taken into custody around 2:30 pm and the vehicle impounded.
No injuries have been reported.
