LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ)- Fox Valley Metro Police Department has arrested a 23-year-old Suamico man on multiple charges related to having inappropriate contact with juveniles.
Police say they arrested Garrett Heder on Tuesday, after an online investigation.
Heder was taken to the Outagamie County jail counts of Representations Depicting Nudity, and eleven counts of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material.
No formal charges were filed, and Heder was released from jail after posting a $10,000 dollar cash bond.
Police say that the victim lives in the Fox Valley Metro Police jurisdiction, and no personal contact was ever made.
Heder was volunteering his time as an assistant wrestling coach with the Bay Port High School wrestling team.
The school district said his status with the school and team has been revoked after learning of his arrest, and he is prohibited from being on school grounds or having contact with students.
In a statement by the district, they confirmed Heder’s connection with the wrestling team.
“Heder completed a successful background check before beginning his work with the team, in accordance with district policy. As a volunteer coach, Heder assisted the Bay Port High School wrestling coaching staff at practices and competitions this season. We have no indication that any of the alleged criminal activity took place on district grounds, using district resources, or involving district students.”
