ABRAMS, WI (WTAQ)- A local corporation is among 11 statewide grant recipients.
The Oconto County Economic Development Corporation has received the grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
The presentation took place in Abrams Tuesday.
The $43-thousand dollar matching grant will be used to provide coaching and training to up to 30 startup companies.
“This grant for Oconto County will enable us to continue our ongoing working relationship with economic growth advisers,” said Paul Ehrfurth of Oconto County Economic Development Corporation. “That enables us to continue to working with these 27 companies as well as identify some new ones.”
The grants are being awarded to local and regional organizations to help develop or expand innovative programs aimed at advancing the climate for entrepreneurship.
