OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A family in Outagamie County is picking up the pieces after a barn fire.
Crews were called out to County Road JJ in the Town of Ellington around 9:30 Tuesday Morning.
Firefighters from five different departments were needed to extinguish the flames.
No livestock were killed or hurt, but Ellington Fire Department Captain Crystal Hockers said things in the barn are not in good condition.
“As of right now, it’s just the barn, there was some exposure damage to the silos and the milk house but at this time, it’s pretty contained to just the barn area.”
The farm is located near North Greenville Elementary School, but the fire did not affect classes.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
