MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – The body of the man officials were looking for in Marinette County has been found.
The vehicle the man, identified as Jacob William Gleason, was driving was found abandoned off Barlow Lake and Brown Spur in the Niagara area.
A search began in the woods. A group of Niagara firemen found the frozen body, matching the description of the 19-year-old from Houghton, Michigan.
The firemen had poor cell service and didn’t know exactly where they were. The firemen stayed with the body and made a fire to stay warm.
Law enforcement officials eventually made their way to the location. They took turns carrying the victim out of the woods.
An autopsy is planned.
