FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – A 42-year-old man has been rescued from Lake Winnebago.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the man called for help at 2:24 am Sunday, saying he was lost on the lake.
Officers responded within minutes, with the man being found roughly a quarter-mile off shore.
He had reportedly been drinking and passed out as he was being taken back to shore.
The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for his exposure to the extremely cold conditions.
