APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – An 80-year-old man sustained life-threatening injures after being hit by a vehicle in Appleton.
The incident happened just before 7:00 p.m. last night in the 800 block of West Packard Street.
Police say the Appleton man was walking across the street when a eastbound vehicle struck him.
The driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old Appleton man, stopped and waited for officers to arrive.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The road was closed for several hours while investigators did their job.
At this time, no citations have been issued.
