The Green Bay Phoenix womens’ basketball team got a huge game from senior Jessica Lindstrom in front of a sold out “Children’s Day” crowd at the University of Dayton Wednesday afternoon.
The forward from Superior poured in a career high 29 points and matched her career best with 17 rebounds as Green Bay held off the Flyers 75-64 to improve to 7-1 on the season. Lindstrom also eclipsed the 1000 point milestone for her career.
Green Bay, ranked 23rd in the AP poll and 25th by the coaches, dropped Dayton to 5-3 on the season as Allie LeClaire put up 14 points as the Phoenix led by 18 going into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Phoenix stay on the road to meet former conference rival Loyola in Chicago on Sunday.
