OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – A 24-year-old Oshkosh man is in custody on charges that he physically abused a toddler.
Oshkosh Police was called to Aurora ER early Thursday for reports of a 3-year-old girl with substantial head injuries.
Officer Kate Mann says “I do not know the condition of the child. She was flown by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.”
Mann says “at this point, we are just releasing that (the suspect) is a caretaker, known to the child, and is not a family member.”
The unnamed man is being held in the Winnebago County Jail “for Physical Abuse of a Child, Causing Great Bodily Harm.”
She notes the incident happened at the child’s home, being unsure of the exact time the girl was injured.
