ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ) – A 17-year-old male is being held on charges of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide in connection with a Monday night shooting in Allouez.
Brown County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Todd Delain says Adolfo Gonzales was arrested after officers “responded to 2230 Libal Street in the Village of Allouez for a report of gunshots” around 10:54 pm.
Delain believes the incident happened near a vehicle outside the residence.
“Officers located a 19-year-old male victim who had been shot in the neck. The victim was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. We believe that this incident is related to a relationship dispute over the same girl.”
No further details about the relationship between Gonzales, the victim, and the girl were released.
Delain notes investigators were able to speak with multiple people at the scene, who were present when Gonzales drove off.
“The victim and witnesses were able to identify the shooter, a vehicle description, and a direction of travel. The Green Bay Police Department was able to locate the vehicle at a residence on Day Street in the City of Green Bay.”
Gonzales is expected to make an initial appearance on Wednesday.
