GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police is still trying to figure out if a reported drive-by shooting actually happened.
Officers were called Wednesday night to the 1400 block of Admiral Court.
“When officers responded, they did not locate any property damage, no victims, no witnesses, or any evidence to believe that the shooting occurred.”
But Captain Kevin Warych says that doesn’t mean they’re ready to write this off.
“We want to air on the side that the incident did occur. Someone probably called because they saw something or heard something which led them to be very suspicious. If the shooting did occur and they collected all the evidence and there are no victims or witnesses, we want someone to come forward so that we can find the people responsible for doing this in our community.”
Warych says the department encourages people to keep calling in suspicious incidents, even if they don’t have all the details.
“Anytime that there’s a report of a shooting, it’s the utmost priority to make sure that no one was hit accidentally or to protect the victims and to catch the people responsible.”
Warych asks anyone with information to call the Green Bay Police Department at 920-448-3200.
