FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ)- Fond du Lac Police are investigating the death of a man who was rescued from the Fond du Lac River early Wednesday morning.
Fond du Lac Police and Fire Rescue were called out to the Fond du Lac River, at the dead end of John Street, after a report of an intoxicated male in the river was called in.
Officers reported finding a 57-year-old Fond du Lac man in the water, with his head above water.
Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says life savings measures were begun.
“Police and Fire Rescue were able to pull the subject from the River”
Rescue crews transported the man to St. Agnes Hospital.
He pronounced deceased later.
The incident remains under investigation
