TOWN OF GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the people involved in a crash that happened Friday.
The driver of the wrong way car was identified as 38-year-old Todd Beyer of Green Bay, who died in the crash.
The rear passengers of the vehicle struck were identified as 84-year-old Ila Schabow and 56-year-old Lynn Eckes also died in the crash.The driver of the vehicle struck was identified as 32-year-old Kristen Eckes. 58-year-old Kenneth Eckes. They are still being hospitalized.
Three people are dead following a two-vehicle crash in Brown County.
It happened Friday afternoon on Highway 57, just south of the Highway DK exit, in the Town of Green Bay.
Investigators believe a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lane, when it struck a northbound vehicle head-on.
Officers say the 38-year-old Green Bay man driving the wrong way vehicle and two passengers in the other vehicle, 56 and 84-year-old Appleton women, all died.
The other driver has critical injuries.
Sheriff’s officials say the stretch of road will be closed for an unknown amount of time as investigators are on scene.
Names of those involved are not expected to be released until Sunday.
