LOS ANGELES, CA (WTAQ) – Jimmy Nelson took a no-hitter into the sixth as the Brewers edged the Dodgers, 3-2, in the rubber match of a three-game set in LA.
Nelson tossed six-and-two-thirds innings of two-run ball to improve to 10-and-6. Corey Knebel earned his 29th save.
Hernan Perez hit a solo homer for Milwaukee, which is two games behind the Cubs for first in the NL Central.
Justin Turner and Corey Seager plated the runs for LA, which lost a series for the first time since the first week of June. Yu Darvish took the loss.
The Brewers are off today and will open a twp game set with the St. Louis Cardinals Tuesday night at Miller Park.
