BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A 38-year-old Wrightstown woman is heading to trial on charges that she did not feed her child.
Kimberly Fahrenkrug faces felony counts of First Degree Reckless Injury, Causing Mental Harm to a Child, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Neglecting a Child, and False Imprisonment.
Fahrenkrug and her husband Bradley, who faces similar charges, were charged after doctors treated their five-year-old, 29 pound son.
Bradley Fahrenkrug reportedly told investigators that their adopted son tends to throw violent fits and occasionally refuses to eat.
He says they tried to get treatment for the boy and notes they have not had the same problem with their biological children.
Bradley Fahrenkrug is scheduled to enter a plea on October 2.
Kimberly Fahrenkrug, who has waived her preliminary hearing, will be arraigned October 19.
