BONDUEL, WI (WTAQ) – Voters in the Bonduel School District have shot down a referendum, that would have given the district more money.
A special election was held Tuesday.
The district was asking voters for $900,000 , each year, for three years. A “yes” vote would have generated $2.7 million.
The district superintendent says a final tally shows 851 voters said yes, while 1,004 voted no.
The district also had a referendum in April for $1 million. That failed as well.
The money would have gone toward operating costs, and hiring more teachers.
