OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A 62-year-old Appleton man is dead after his motorcycle was involved in a head-on collision with a car.
Outagamie County Sheriff’s officials say it happened at 12:53 pm Saturday on Highway 96, east of Highway 76.
A witness told investigators that the eastbound car crossed the center line and struck the westbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist reportedly landed on the highway and died.
Officers say he was not wearing a helmet.
The 20-year-old Scandinavia man driving the car went uninjured.
A stretch of Highway 96 was closed for roughly three hours as investigators were on scene.
