OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – A Russian Tortoise has gone missing from Oshkosh’s Menominee Park Zoo.
Police say the animal was discovered missing Wednesday morning.
They believe someone likely removed the Tortoise from its enclosure and possibly took it outside the zoo grounds.
The reptile is eight to ten inches in length and is not a danger to the public.
Officers note the Tortoise cannot swim and will drown if submerged in water.
People are asked not to approach the animal, if it is located.
