BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A 33-year-old Green Bay woman has been accused of beating her daughter.
Autumn Gofoe faces two felony Child Abuse counts and one misdemeanor count of Disorderly Conduct.
On May 23, Gofoe allegedly became angry when she looked in her daughter’s backpack and found a cell phone that she wasn’t supposed to have.
Gofoe reportedly hit her daughter in the face while swearing and belittling her, punched her in the face, and kicked her repeatedly until the girl blacked out.
Prosecutors say Gofoe then tried to kick her daughter out of the house, telling her to pack only the clothes she bought herself.
Gofoe drove her daughter to multiple friends’ houses.
When each stop resulted in no answer or being told the daughter could not stay, Gofoe drove them back home.
Once there, Gofoe took the girl’s cell phone, recorded a video, and posted it to social media.
Fellow students brought that video to the attention of Ashwaubenon High School staff the next day.
On the same day the video was discovered, Gofoe allegedly showed up at the school, saying she wanted to shadow her daughter for the day.
When told she could not, Gofoe reportedly created a loud disturbance in the school office before leaving.
