EMPIRE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s department continues to investigate a drowning Tuesday on Lake DeNeveu.
Crews received the call around 3:30 yesterday afternoon (TUE) for a report of a man swimming in the lake who went under the water and didn’t resurface.
The 23 year old’s body was recovered a little after 6 last night.
Police say the man was from Milwaukee and reported he was an avid swimmer.
The cause of the man’s death has not yet been determined, but police say he was not wearing a life jacket.
