MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) – The Brewers have now won five of their last six games following their 6-2 win over the Orioles on the Fourth of July.
Four home runs powered the Brewers to their win Tuesday.
Newcomer Stephen Vogt homered in the second inning. Eric Thames smashed home runs in the fifth and seventh innings.
And, after being forced to leave Monday’s game after getting hit by a pitch, Travis Shaw returned to the lineup and hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.
Jimmy Nelson continued his solid first half of the season as he scattered six hits over seven innings pitched and struck out eight. Nelson was not charged with any of the Oriole runs in the game.
The Brewers will go for the sweep of Baltimore tonight. Matt Garza will be on the mound for Milwaukee.
