OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – A local resident rescued two kayakers Saturday after their watercrafts capsized.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say crews responded to the west shore of Lake Winnebago, near Monkey Island, for reports of two kayakers in distress.
A 34-year-old Oshkosh man was in the water while a 37-year-old Oshkosh woman was able to call 911.
The resident used his personal boat to retrieve the kayakers, shortly before crews arrived.
Both were evaluated on shore and declined further medical attention.
