BEECHER, WI (WTAQ) – UPDATE: The 52-year-old woman has been taken into custody following a standoff that lasted more than three hours.

Marinette County law enforcement is on scene at a home where an armed person is barricaded inside.
Officers were called to a residence on Smeester School Road in the Town of Beecher at 12:16 pm for a report of shots fired.
People are asked to avoid the area as officers attempt to get the person out safely.
Officials say it is an isolated incident and that the public is not in danger.
