GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A family of six is looking for a place to live after a fire that started in the attic of their two story home.
The fire happened at 710 Hubbard Street just after 7:40 Sunday morning.
Green Bay Metro Fire arrived and found smoke showing from the floor roof on all sides.
Everyone had evacuated the home before fire crews arrived. No one was injured.
Crews were able to attack the fire from inside the home on the second floor and performed salvage on the 1st floor for property conservation.
The fire caused $15,000 worth of damage to the home.
There’s no official word yet on the cause of the fire but, officials remind everyone to have a working smoke detector on all levels of a home.
Fire crews were assisted by Green Bay Police, WPS, and the Red Cross.
